Tim O’Connor has a B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a M.A. and Ph.D in Philosophy from Cornell University. After a long stint as Professor of Philosophy at University of Indiana Bloomington, he is currently Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at Baylor University, specializing in metaphysics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of religion. He is also the editor of multiple books, including A Companion to the Philosophy of Action, Emergence in Science and Philosophy, and Downward Causation and the Neurobiology of Free Will.
