Stephen Post

Professor of Family, Population, and Preventive Medicine, Stony Brook University

Stephen Post (PhD University of Chicago) is Founding Director of the Center for Medical Humanities, Compassionate Care, and Bioethics, and he also serves as Professor of Family, Population and Preventive Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York. Before coming to Stony Brook, Dr. Post held positions at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and at the University of Chicago Pritzkr School of Medicine. He is the author of over 200 peer-reviewed articles, and is also the author of the groundbreaking book The Moral Challenge of Alzheimer’s Disease: Ethical Issues from Diagnosis to Dying.
