James Houston

Emeritus Professor of Spiritual Theology, Regent College


James Houston is Emeritus Professor of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia. A prolific and respected worldwide author, editor, scholar, and educator, he was a friend of C.S. Lewis during his time at Oxford in the 1950s. He is considered one of the “founding fathers” of Regent College, and he is also co-founder of the C.S. Lewis Institute in Washington D.C. He is the author of a long list of books, including The Mentored Life: From Individualism to Personhood and Joyful Exiles: Life in Christ on the Dangerous Edge of Things.
