Dr. Ellen Ross is Professor of Quakerism and Peace Studies at Swarthmore College. She specializes in Christian Traditions, Quaker Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Gender Studies, medieval religious life and thought, and contemporary religious thought. Her book, The Grief of God: Images of the Suffering Jesus in Late Medieval England (Oxford, 1997), is an interdisciplinary study of late medieval Christian thought, practice, and iconography.
