On the 50th anniversary of the death of C. S. Lewis (November 22, 1963), we reflect on the enormous spiritual influence of Lewis for more than a generation. Lewis demonstrated the way great truths require a diversity of genre to speak deeply to the mind, heart, and imagination. Opposed to reductionism in all its forms, Lewis joined form to content to communicate the fullness of the gospel message in fantasy, science fiction, myth, poetry, essays, sermons, autobiography, and criticism. Bruce Hindmarsh hosts a conversation with Jim Houston, who knew Lewis in Oxford, about what we can learn from Lewis about spiritual formation today.
